The STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) classroom building and site upgrades serves to bring the school into the 21st century. The classrooms provide indoor/ outdoor learning opportunities with large sliding glass walls that lead to outdoor learning areas for project based learning. The building systems that are traditionally hidden in the walls and ceiling are exposed in order to invoke questions and contemplation from students about how their classrooms were built and how they operate. The large folding glass walls on the first floor and the solar tubes of the second floor classrooms provide natural lighting to improve student mood and productivity. In front of the building, the elevated platform under the large shade structure of the building create the perfect space for school events and assemblies.
